A pitch from Chris Skogen.
Minneapolis. 30 years of building relationships that become revenue. Closing a four-and-a-half year run at Trek Bicycle — every green jacket on the table, taken.
Three-state territory. Every relationship built face-to-face, maintained year over year.
Trek's top performance recognition — earned every eligible year.
Trek's highest field honor, awarded across the full North American organization.
Founded the Almanzo 100 in 2007 with 13 riders. Built it into a national event. Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame.
"Partnership sales is a hospitality job. The revenue comes later. What you're really doing is making someone feel confident their brand is in good hands." — Chris Skogen
background.
Why now.
Trek territory deals don't close in a quarter. They close after years of showing up, following through, and making 55+ independent business owners trust you with their most important vendor relationship. That's the muscle a Partnership Sales Director needs.
13 riders on a gravel road in southern Minnesota in 2007. 1,400 at peak. The Almanzo 100 helped establish gravel cycling as a national genre. I understand how community and brand intersect — because I built one. That's a different credential than a quota.
Bartender. Bar manager. Wine buyer. A busy venue is a partnership operation running in real time — guest experience, brand reputation, vendor relationships, all at once. I bring those instincts to every client interaction.
Four green jackets. Territory Manager of the Year. Every eligible recognition, taken. I don't perform when conditions are favorable — I perform. The stage at Target Center is bigger. The work is the same.
I've watched this team grow into something Minneapolis is genuinely proud of. Target Center isn't just a venue — it's a stage. The partnerships sold off that stage should feel like they belong there. I want to be the person who makes that argument.
